Living Chi is dedicated to helping patients live fuller and healthier lives through the use of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and nutritional advice.

Deborah Duval is certified by the National Certification Committee for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a licensed practitioner in the state of Texas.

She received her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (AOMA).

While acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can be used to treat many different conditions, Deborah’s special interests lie in the treatments of insomnia, chronic pain, allergies and emotional disorders.

Acupuncture has been practiced for over 2500 years, and you know what they say…Practice makes perfect.While acupuncture has changed greatly since its beginnings, one thing has remained constant:treat the body as a whole, recognizing the connectivity of all systems.

An acupuncture treatment consists of intake questions and physical assessment to determine the body’s current condition, followed by the application of sterile, single-use filiform needles to the chosen acupuncture points on the body.The needles are about the width of a human hair and cause minimal pain on insertion. On many instances, a patient may not feel the insertion of the needles.
